Off to a bike holiday in the Dolomites

On two wheels across the mountains

A bike tour in the Dolomites could be the ultimate highlight for your holiday in South Tyrol. Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm and environs offer a great range of biking trails to explore the Dolomites by bike. In the immediate surroundings of our hotel in Siusi/Seis at Mt. Sciliar/Schlern, you find mountain trails, gravel roads, forest tracks and much more.

If you had rather take it easy, you can hire an e-bike in one of the local sports shops.

Here are two of our top bike tours in the Dolomites:

The Milky Way of Alpe di Siusi/Seiseralm

The tour starts at the Alpe di Siusi information office and leads on trail no. 7 up to the Edelweißhütte hut. Take the gravel road to the Almrosenhütte hut and pass the highest point of the tour towards the Mahlknechthütte hut. From there, take the quick descent towards Saltria. In Saltria starts the second climb of the route on a tarmac road for about 3 km until you reach the Wiedner Eck crossing. From there, the route takes you back to the starting point in Compaccio/Compatsch. A greatly rewarding bike tour in the Dolomites.

Duration: ca. 5 hours
Distance: 16 kilometres
Altitude: ca. 580 m

Bike tour to Tagusa/Tagusens

This bike tour in the Dolomites starts right outside our hotel. Follow trail no. 6, then no. 7 until you reach Tiosels; here, turn towards Schgagul and continue past the Tamineshof to Tagusa/Tagusens. Go back via Tesimo/Tisens, past Dosler Lake and via Castelrotto/Kastelruth to San Valentino/St. Valentin and the Valentinerhof.

Duration: ca. 2 hours
Distance: 20.7 kilometres
Altitude: ca. 340 m
